3 Potential Trade Destinations for Ducks' Adam Henrique

The Anaheim Ducks are listening to trade offers on pending free-agent forward Adam Henrique. The veteran centre is having a stellar season with the struggling Ducks, posting 18 goals and 42 points through 60 games.

Henrique holds a 10-team no-trade clause and a $5.8 million cap hit for the rest of this season and it's very likely the Ducks retain some salary to not only help out a contending team but too obviously seek more return in the deal.

Three potential trade destinations for Henrique include:

Colorado Avalanche

The Avs aren't expecting Gabriel Landeskog back anytime soon and have some deadline cap space to use thanks to the LTIR. They've been linked to Henrique for the majority of this season and look for the Avs to be there in the end. The only issue here is the fact the Avs don't have a second or third-round pick in 2024 which is likely what Ducks GM Pat Verbeek is after. If Colorado can convince Verbeek to take prospects as apposed to picks, could be a deal in the making between these two clubs. Henrique's versatility to play centre and the wing is something Colorado craves.

New York Rangers

The Rangers know Henrique very well from his days with the New Jersey Devils. The Rangers are looking for top-six versatility and the Ducks forward could be a perfect match to their needs. He's effective in all situations and can slide in nicely for the third-line centre role if needed and provide the Rangers with a solid 1-2-3 combo down the middle. New York has $4.3 million in projected deadline cap space and wouldn't need the Ducks to retain 50% to make a deal work.

Boston Bruins

The Bruins having been looking for centre depth this entire season and have managed nicely considering the holes Krejci and Bergeron left. Cap space is the issue here and if Boston can't find a way to create some more flexibility then their current $57,500 in cap space, there's no chance they can add ahead of the deadline. Linus Ullmark is a name that's been mention a ton lately in trade talks so perhaps there's potential one move, could lead to another and Henrique winds up on the B's.
