Flyers HC John Tortorella Apologizes to Media for 'Terrible Mistake'
The clown show in Philadelphia continues as Flyers head coach John Tortorella is now backtracking on how he responded to the media after Sunday's loss. Tortorella was asked about goaltender Felix Sandstrom's performance and ended up shaking his head and no responding at all to the question.

Sandstrom had allowed three goals on 14 shots in the loss to the Florida Panthers and obviously didn't have a great game. Torts didn't respond to the question and just raised his hands in a questioning manner, banging the podium before storming off.
I made a terrible mistake with you guys the other night.... My body language was wrong. What I should have said to you was he's trying. Sanny's trying. Things happened this year that put our goaltending situation into a state of flux. Sanny did not deserve that from me. You had the perfect right to ask that question. He did not deserve that from me. The Flyers have had to deal with a lot this season off the ice as Carter Hart continues to be involved in a sexual assault investigation in London, ON and Torts recently healthy scratched captain Sean Couturier, which made some headlines across the league.
As for Sandstrom, he's now 1-2-0 on the season, posting a .823 Sv.% and 3.87 GAA. The Flyers currently sit in third in the Metropolitan division, barely ahead of the Washington Capitals.
“For a guy that hates the media, he’s always in the media” 🤷♂️
