Kraken Rumors: 5 Players Team Is Most Likely To Trade

The Seattle Kraken are seven points back of a playoff spot and took a pretty big step back from last season. The secondary scoring and scoring depth just hasn't been anywhere close to what it was last season, and the team needs a bit of a makeover in that regard.

The Kraken have a lot of solid players that teams are showing interest in ahead of the trade deadline, and they would be wise to be open to all of them. There are five players that stand out as the most likely to be moved, and considering Elliotte Friedman said that the Kraken seem prepared to keep Jordan Eberle even if a contract isn't signed by the deadline, he doesn't appear in this group.

Friedman said, "you've heard a lot of UFA names: Justin Schultz, Tomas Tatar, Alexander Wennberg..." He also noted that it hasn't been an easy transition for offseason signing Brian Dumoulin, and other teams like Brandon Tanev, who has had some low-minute games lately.

There is more of a need to trade the pending UFAs, especially Wennberg who will get the Kraken the largest return, but if Dumoulin isn't working out and Tanev can be moved while he isn't getting enough ice time, they have to go for it as well. The Kraken have young players and the space to be able to make moves in the offseason to turn things around.
