Maple Leafs Rumors: Toronto Not Done Making Moves

The Toronto Maple Leafs have been busy as of late. They notably added veteran defensemen Ilya Lyubushkin and Joel Edmundson to their roster and snagged prospect Cabe Webber from the Carolina Hurricanes. Yet, if they have it their way, they are not done making moves yet.

There's been growing speculation that Maple Leafs general manager Brad Treliving is looking to add a gritty depth forward who can kill penalties to the Original Six club's roster.

After making multiple additions to their blue line, the Maple Leafs are likely to part ways with one of their depth defensemen to add a forward with bite. Two clear trade candidates from the Maple Leafs are Timothy Liljegren and Connor Timmins.

When looking at the current trade market, there are some forwards who could grab the Maple Leafs' attention. Connor Dewar (Minnesota Wild), Liam O'Brien (Arizona Coyotes), and Zemgus Girgensons (Buffalo Sabres) are a few that stand out.

We will need to wait and see what the Maple Leafs do from here, but don't be surprised if more moves are on the way. They want more toughness, and now is the time to bring it in.
