Panthers Extend Gustav Forsling & Jonah Gadjovich

The Florida Panthers have been quite busy as of late, as they acquired star forward Vladimir Tarasenko from the Ottawa Senators yesterday (March 7). Yet, they have now made another major move, as they have signed defenseman Gustav Forsling to an eight-year, $46 million contract extension. Along with that, forward Jonah Gadjovich has been inked to a two-year extension.

Forsling was one of the Panthers' top pending UFAs, and the expectation was that the Panthers were going to try to lock him up. Now, they have done just that, and he will continue to be a massive part of their top four because of it.

Forsling is once again having a strong season for the Panthers, posting nine goals to go along with 31 points in 62 games played. As a result, he has surely earned this nice raise.

As for Gadjovich, he has been a nice addition to the Panthers' roster this season. While has not been dominant offensively, his physical style of play and toughness has made him quite impactful in a bottom-six role.

In 33 games this season, he has two goals, two assists, 90 penalty minutes, and 71 hits.
