Penguins Place Jonathan Gruden On Waivers
The Pittsburgh Penguins have made a roster move, as they have placed forward Jonathan Gruden on waivers.
Gruden, 23, has appeared in 11 games this season with the Penguins, where he has one goal to go along with a minus-2 rating. Six out of his 11 appearances came during the month of March, but now, he is heading back down to the AHL, if he clears waivers, of course.
Gruden has primarily spent this campaign down in the AHL with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, where he has 13 goals to go along with 23 points in 41 games played. Overall, he has been pretty impactful down in the AHL, so Wilkes-Barre/Scranton likely won't be complaining to have him back if he clears.
Teams looking to add to their overall depth could consider taking a flier on the young forward. We will need to wait and see what happens on that front.
In 14 career NHL games over two seasons, Gruden has one goal to go along with a minus-2 rating.
