Penguins Rumors: Reilly Smith Connected to 3 Teams
The Pittsburgh Penguins are expected to be among the NHL's biggest sellers at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. They have several players who could find new homes due to their very poor season, and one of them is veteran forward Reilly Smith.
Smith has had a tough fitting into the Penguins' system and could benefit from a change of scenery. He is starting to generate interest around the league, too, as the Vegas Golden Knights, Colorado Avalanche, and Nashville Predators are all currently linked to him, according to The Fourth Period.
It is not a secret that the Golden Knights have been looking to add at least one winger to their roster before the deadline. Mark Stone is out long-term, and they have LTIR money to work with because of it. With Smith being a player that they know very well, the fit is there.
The Avalanche have been looking to add to their forward group. Smith would help out their middle six immensely, as he would provide them with more scoring and overall experience.
As for the Predators, their strong play as of late has allowed to become buyers at this season's deadline. With their forward group needing more scoring, Smith is a strong target for them.
