Senators Rumors: Latest on Vladimir Tarasenko's Trade Market

The Ottawa Senators are expected to have a busy 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. This is because they are clear sellers, and winger Vladimir Tarasenko is arguably their biggest trade candidate. This is because he is a top-six forward on an expiring contract who contenders would love to have for the playoffs.

Interest in Tarasenko's services is starting to increase as we get closer to the deadline, too. The Edmonton Oilers, Vegas Golden Knights, New York Rangers, Carolina Hurricanes, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Vancouver Canucks are all expressing interest in the skilled forward.

There is no question that each of these teams could use a scoring winger like Tarasenko on their roster right now. This is especially the case when it comes to the Golden Knights, however, as Mark Stone is going to miss a significant amount of time. However, each of these other teams would also benefit from upgrading their second lines by adding Tarasenko.

Tarasenko will have the final say over if and where he gets moved, as he currently sports a full no-trade clause. However, with the Sens being so low in the standings, the expectation is that he will be open to waiving it.

We will need to wait and see what happens with Tarasenko from here, but it is quite apparent that his trade market is starting to heat up big time.
