Watch: Golden Knights Jack Eichel Kicked Out for Nasty Spear
Vegas Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel is going to be hearing from the NHL's department of player safety after delivering a nasty spear to the stomach of Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov.
The play happened during the team's matchup on Saturday as Eichel received a five-minute major and a game misconduct for his stupid mistake. It was the very first time Eichel's received a major penalty throughout his nine-year NHL career.
The two were going at it for most of the game including a Kaprizov cross-check that happened just prior to Eichel getting his wires crossed. Shortly after Eichel got ejected, Kaprizov went on to score a power-play goal, as revenge is best served on the scoreboard.
The Golden Knights ended up winning the game 2-1 in overtime, however are expected to be without their best player for a game or two as expect to see a suspension coming for this play:
