Wild Rumors: 5 Teams Linked to Brandon Duhaime

The Minnesota Wild are preparing to be sellers at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. While they are not expected to blow their roster up, some of their pending unrestricted free agents (UFAs) are expected to find new homes by Friday after (March 8).

One Wild player who has been generating plenty of trade chatter is winger Brandon Duhaime. His trade market is now starting to increase, too, as The Fourth Period reported that the Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Colorado Avalanche, Edmonton Oilers, and Boston Bruins are all linked to the forward.

Duhaime would be a nice addition to each of these clubs, as he is a solid bottom-six forward who provides plenty of physicality and is known for his steady defensive play. Because of this, it is understandable that they each are looking to add him to their groups.

Duhaime, 26, has appeared in 62 games this season with the Wild, where he has four goals, four assists, 66 penalty minutes, and 153 hits. While he has not made the biggest impact offensively, there is no denying that he does with his gritty style of play. Thus, he is the kind of player needed during the postseason when the games get much tougher.

We will need to wait and see if any of these clubs end up landing Duhaime before the deadline passes from here.
