Bruins Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Matt Grzelcyk
Boston Bruins defenseman Matt Grzelcyk is a pending UFA who could hit the market this offseason. Given the fact that he has struggled this campaign, there’s a chance that the Bruins will let him walk this offseason. If he does hit the market, look for these three teams to try to land him.
Chicago Blackhawks: The Chicago Blackhawks are expected to add to their blueline this offseason. While they are rebuilding, they want to be more competitive next season. Bringing in Grzelcyk would give them a nice boost in their top four.
San Jose Sharks: The San Jose Sharks were connected to Grzelcyk this past offseason, and they could try to add him again this summer. He would give them a solid veteran defenseman to help mentor their younger players and be a nice fit on their second pairing and special team units.
Los Angeles Kings: The Los Angeles Kings will likely look to add to the left side of their defense this summer. Grzelcyk would be a good pickup for their bottom pairing, as he would offer them a bit more stability and overall defensive depth if signed. His playoff experience could also make him a player worth targeting for Los Angeles.
