Canucks Given Brutal Thatcher Demko Injury News
The Vancouver Canucks picked up a big 4-2 win over the Nashville Predators in Game 1. However, after starting their series off on the right foot, the Canucks have now been handed some immensely concerning injury news.
According to NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, Canucks star goalie Thatcher Demko has suffered an injury and is questionable for the remainder of the first round.

This is simply horrendous news for the Canucks, as Demko was a significant reason for the Canucks' outstanding 2023-24 season. He is one of the NHL's best goalies, and now the Canucks may be without him for the rest of the series, depending on the severity of his injury.
Demko notably missed over a month of action before returning to the Canucks during the last week of the regular season, appearing in three games. From there, he started in Game 1 for the Canucks, where he saved 22 out of 24 shots.
The Canucks will now need to adjust without Demko between the pipes. The hope from here is that he will be good to return very shortly and not need to miss the entire series, but time will tell what happens on that front.
