Capitals Rumors: 3 Free Agent Destinations for Max Pacioretty

Washington Capitals forward Max Pacioretty is one of the more notable pending UFAs who could hit the free agent market this offseason. Because of this, there should be a good amount of interest in him if he does not re-sign with the Caps this offseason. Because of this, let’s discuss three teams who could target him now.

New York Rangers: The New York Rangers were in on Pacioretty at the deadline, and it makes sense. He would have given their top nine more offense and also more leadership because of his plethora of experience. Thus, it would not be surprising if they looked to add him in the summer.

Florida Panthers: The Florida Panthers could end up making a real push for Pacioretty this offseason. This is especially so if they end up losing some of their pending UFAs this offseason. He would give their top nine a major boost if signed and give them some nice secondary offensive production.

Dallas Stars: The Dallas Stars are likely to add to their forward group this offseason. Pacioretty would be a good player for them to target, as he would give them more offense in their top nine. He also could be open to playing there, as the Stars are legitimate contenders, and he is looking for a Stanley Cup.
