Capitals Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Summer

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2024 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest edition of the series, we will be focusing on the Washington Capitals.

Matt Duchene: The Capitals should look to improve their top six this offseason. As a result of this, one player who could make sense for them is Matt Duchene. He would give their forward group a significant boost and would also fit nicely on their power play setting up Alex Ovechkin.

Anthony Duclair: Another scoring forward who the Capitals should consider looking at is Anthony Duclair. He has been excellent since his trade to the Tampa Bay Lightning and is increasing his value because of it. He would be a big addition to their top six if signed.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson: Oliver Ekman-Larsson could be a nice addition to the Capitals' lineup. It is not a secret that the Capitals need some help on the left side of their defensive group, and OEL would give them just that.
