Devils' Jack Hughes Could be Done for Season
The 2023-24 season has been a brutal one for the New Jersey Devils. After taking a big step forward last season, they struggled with consistency all campaign and are set to miss the playoffs. Now, more bad news could be heading their way.
According to Ryan Novozinsky, Devils superstar Jack Hughes could be out for the rest of the season.
Hughes is dealing with an injury and has been ruled out for the club's matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Tuesday (April 9). Per Novozinsky, when asked if Hughes' injury is a long-term ailment, Green responded with, "We'll see."

This is certainly concerning news to hear, as Hughes is the Devils' top player. Now, we must wait and see how severe Hughes' injury ends up being.
In 62 games this season with the Devils, Hughes has 27 goals to go along with 74 points. Overall, it has been another excellent season for the superstar center.
