Ducks Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for John Gibson

The Anaheim Ducks are likely to shop goaltender John Gibson this offseason. They listened to offers for him at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline, and there is no question that he would benefit from a change of scenery. Playing for a better team in front of him could allow him to bounce back, so look for these three clubs to target him during the summer.

New Jersey Devils: The New Jersey Devils have been connected to Gibson in the past, and that could translate over to the offseason as well. The Devils added Jake Allen and Kaapo Kahkonen at the deadline, but they could use a true starter. When playing at his best, Gibson is that, so don't be surprised if he's on their list of targets.

Los Angeles Kings: The Los Angeles Kings could be in the mix for Gibson this offseason. They certainly need more insurance between the pipes. Cam Talbot is a pending UFA, and the quality of their goaltenders falls off noticeably after him. Thus, perhaps they could target Gibson this summer.

Ottawa Senators: The Ottawa Senators could look to add a goalie this offseason. Joonas Korpisalo had a tough year in 2023-24, and bringing in Gibson could make sense for them because of it. He would give them a nice upgrade if he finds his previous form while having a better defense in front of him.
