Golden Knights Announce Big Mark Stone Update
The Vegas Golden Knights are gearing up for their first round matchup against the Dallas Stars. Now, it appears that they are very close to getting a massive boost to their lineup for it.
Golden Knights general manager Kelly McCrimmon has announced that captain Mark Stone has been cleared for contact and that the club is monitoring his progress for the start of the playoffs.
McCrimmon also shared with reporters that Alex Pietrangelo, Chandler Stephenson, and William Carrier will all practice with the club as well.
Chandler Stephenson and William Carrier will also be full participants in practice today. Jonathan Marchessault and Ben Hutton won't practice today due to maintenance days. #VegasBorn

However, Stone being cleared for contact is the biggest news item from McCrimmon. The star forward has been recovering from a ruptured spleen and now appears to be nearing his return with the playoffs just about to start for Vegas.
Stone's last game of the regular season was on Feb. 20 against the Nashville Predators, which was right near the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. In 58 games this season with the Golden Knights, he had 16 goals, 53 points, and a plus-1 rating.
