Lightning Rumors: 3 Offseason Suitors for Matt Dumba

The Tampa Bay Lightning's season came to an end, as they fell to the Florida Panthers by a 6-1 final score in Game 5. With this loss, the Lightning's offseason is here, and they have several big decisions to make. Matt Dumba is one pending UFA who could hit the market this summer, and there should be interest there. Let's discuss three specific clubs that could look to add him now.

Toronto Maple Leafs: The Toronto Maple Leafs were connected to Dumba during last offseason and at this year's deadline. Because of this, it is easy to believe that they could be in the mix for Dumba if he is not brought back. Their right side needs a boost, and he would give them just that.

Ottawa Senators: The Ottawa Senators are another team to pay very close attention to when it comes to Dumba. They certainly could use a veteran right-shot defenseman who can handle top-four minutes. Along with that, he would give them far more toughness on the blueline, which is always a nice bonus.

Minnesota Wild: The Minnesota Wild missed Dumba on their blueline this season, and they could look to bring him back this offseason because of it. He would give their defense a bit more dependability and be a nice addition to their penalty kill.
