Penguins Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Reilly Smith
Reilly Smith was one of the most talked about trade candidates leading up to the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. In the end, the Pittsburgh Penguins elected to keep him for the rest of the season. However, when noting that the fit just has not been there with the Pens, there's a good chance that the club will listen to offers for him this summer again. Let's go over three teams who should be in the mix for services now.
Nashville Predators: The Nashville Predators were connected to Smith leading up to the deadline. When looking at their forward group, there's no question that they could use some more scoring in their middle six. When Smith is at his best, he provides that, so they could look to add him this summer.
Vegas Golden Knights: The Vegas Golden Knights certainly know Smith well, as he spent several seasons there before his eventual trade to the Penguins this offseason. The Golden Knights could look to trade for him during the summer, as they were linked to him at the deadline. He would be welcomed back with open arms.
Los Angeles Kings: The Los Angeles Kings are likely going to look to add to their forward group over the summer. Adding a veteran like Smith to their top nine would be beneficial for them, as he would give them a bit more offense and overall experience.
