Senators Rumors: 3 Teams Expected to Target Jakob Chychrun
After another very disappointing season, the Ottawa Senators are preparing for what should be an extremely busy offseason. It is clear that they need to make some changes to their group, as this year's roster just could not get it done.
Jakob Chychrun is one Senator to watch this offseason in trade talks, as the star defenseman's comments at the end of the season made it seem like he does not envision a long-term future with the Senators. When noting that he is entering the final season of his deal, the Senators are likely to hear offers for him. Let's discuss three teams who likely will target him this offseason because of it.
Los Angeles Kings: The Los Angeles Kings were big suitors for Chychrun back when the Arizona Coyotes shopped him. There is no question that they could use a star on the left side of their defense, and he would give them that big time.
Boston Bruins: The Boston Bruins are a club to watch when it comes to Chychrun. It has already been established that management likes the player, as they targeted him in the past. With Matt Grzelcyk and Derek Forbort being pending UFAs, Boston could be in the market for a left-shot defender like Chychrun this summer.
Washington Capitals: The Washington Capitals were connected to Chychrun at this year's deadline. While they did not get him, they certainly could look to add him again during this offseason. He would give their top pairing a major boost.
