Wild Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Summer
Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2024 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.
In this latest edition of the series, the Minnesota Wild will be the team of focus.
Alex Wennberg: Adding some depth down the middle should be a priority for the Wild this offseason. Because of this, one player who they should consider taking a chance on is Alex Wennberg. He is a solid middle-six forward when playing at his best and could give their forward group a nice boost if signed.
Kasperi Kapanen: The Wild could look to add more scoring to their bottom six this offseason. Because of this, one player who they could look at is Kasperi Kapanen. While he has had a down year with the St. Louis Blues, he has shown throughout his career that he can be a solid third-line winger when playing at his best.
Jack Johnson: The Wild should look to improve their defensive depth this offseason. While Jack Johnson is not the biggest pending UFA, he is a solid bottom-pairing guy who has plenty of experience. Because of this, he could be worth taking a chance on if signed to a cheap one-year deal.
