Canucks Rumors: 3 Free-Agent Destinations for Sam Lafferty
Sam Lafferty is one of the many players from the Vancouver Canucks who could hit free agency this offseason. The 29-year-old is coming off of a solid season and should get plenty of attention if he hits the market because of it. Let’s discuss three teams who could look to sign him now.
Carolina Hurricanes: The Carolina Hurricanes could look to add to their bottom six this summer. They have many UFAs heading into the offseason, and Lafferty could grab their attention. The Canes love hard-nosed forwards, so he could be a good fit there.
Los Angeles Kings: The Los Angeles Kings need to improve their bottom six this offseason, and Lafferty would be a good target for them because of it. He would give them a forward who can play all three forward positions and would be a nice addition to their penalty kill as well.
Colorado Avalanche: The Colorado Avalanche are another team to watch when it comes to Lafferty. Their bottom six has several free agents, and Lafferty should get their attention because of it. He would work well on their third or fourth line and give them a bit more secondary scoring.
