Ducks Rumors: Frank Vatrano Connected to Atlantic Club

Anaheim Ducks forward Frank Vatrano was one of the NHL's top trade candidates leading up to the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. While the Ducks elected to hold onto him for the remainder of the season, they are expected to listen to offers for him again during the summer.

The Detroit Red Wings were one of the teams heavily linked to Vatrano leading up to the deadline, and they are expected to have him on their radar again this offseason.

The Red Wings have several pending UFAs and could make some changes to their group this offseason because of it. This is especially so if they end up losing multiple forwards through free agency or let them walk.

The Red Wings are looking to become a playoff team again, and they are going to try to make upgrades. Bringing in an All-Star forward like Vatrano would give them just that. This is especially so when noting that he is not only impactful offensively but also with his physicality.

Vatrano, 30, appeared in 82 games this past season with the Ducks, where he had 37 goals to go along with 60 points and 156 hits.
