Golden Knights Rumors: 4 Players Done in Vegas

The Vegas Golden Knights are entering the summer with several free agents. Because of this, their roster could look incredibly different for the 2024-25 season.

NHL insider David Pagnotta provided some clarity over the future of four Golden Knights free agents, as he reported that Michael Amadio, William Carrier, Anthony Mantha, and Alec Martinez won't be back.

Amadio, 28, should certainly have a good amount of suitors this offseason. The 6-foot-1 forward has become a solid bottom-six forward at the NHL level, and teams will call because of it. In 73 games this season with the Golden Knights, he had 14 goals, 27 points, and a plus-4 rating.

Carrier, 29, will get some attention around the league. This is because he is a veteran bottom-six forward who plays a very heavy game and can kill penalties. He had a down year in 2023-24, posting just six goals and two assists in 39 games. However, he is a prime bounce-back candidate and could find success elsewhere.

Mantha had a nice bounce-back season in 2023-24, posting 23 goals and 44 points in 74 games split between the Washington Capitals and Golden Knights. He could be a strong addition for a team needing more scoring in their middle six.

As for Martinez, Pagnotta noted that the veteran defenseman has lost his spot on the Golden Knights' blueline and that the 36-year-old is evaluating his options.
