Hurricanes Rumors: 3 Offseason Suitors for Jordan Martinook
The Carolina Hurricanes have several free agents heading into the summer, and one of them is Jordan Martinook. When noting that Martinook is a gritty forward known for his secondary scoring and leadership, interest around the league will be there if he hits free agency. Let’s discuss three teams who could look to add him now.
Carolina Hurricanes: Martinook has been a key part of the Hurricanes’ lineup for quite some, so it would not be shocking at all if they tried to bring him back before he hits free agency. He’s a major part of their bottom six and is one of their top leaders.
Ottawa Senators: The Ottawa Senators could look at a player like Martinook. They are a young team looking to finally take that next step and get into the playoffs. Bringing in a veteran known for being a good mentor to younger players like Martinook would make sense because of it.
Detroit Red Wings: The Detroit Red Wings could make a push for Martinook. Their bottom six could use more bite, and Martinook would give them just that. Furthermore, he would also give them a bit more production in the bottom half of their lineup, which is a nice bonus.
