Kings Rumors: 3 Potential Landing Spots for Matt Roy

The Los Angeles Kings and Matt Roy have yet to have contract extension talks. With the Kings having a lot of depth on the right side of their defense, there's a good chance that Roy will hit the market. If he does, these three clubs could be in the mix for his services.

Toronto Maple Leafs: It is not a secret that the Toronto Maple Leafs need to improve their right side of their defense this offseason. A player like Roy could get their attention because of it, as he is a solid top-four defenseman who plays a very reliable game.

Edmonton Oilers: There is an expectation heading into the summer that the Edmonton Oilers will also look to add a right-shot defenseman. Roy would be a nice upgrade over Cody Ceci, so it would not be shocking if they looked at Roy if he hits the market.

Ottawa Senators: The Ottawa Senators are another team looking to add to their blueline this offseason. It is clear that their right side has some serious issues, and adding a steady player like Roy to it would greatly benefit their group. They were also linked to Roy at the deadline.
