Kraken Rumors: 3 Offseason Suitors for Tomas Tatar
Tomas Tatar had a bit of a shaky season in 2023-24. While this was the case, he still should generate some interest around the NHL this season. This is because he has a strong resume and is an effective third-line forward when playing at his best. Due to this, let’s discuss three teams who could look to add him now.
Pittsburgh Penguins: The Pittsburgh Penguins need more production from their bottom six if they hope to turn things around next season. Because of this, they could consider making a push for the veteran winger this summer. He would also give them another option for their second power play unit because of it.
Boston Bruins: The Boston Bruins will look to get more scoring in the bottom half of their lineup as well this offseason. Don Sweeney has said that he needs to improve the Bruins’ offense, and taking a shot on a veteran like Tatar could make sense because of it.
Minnesota Wild: The Minnesota Wild could go after a veteran like Tatar as well. After a down season, Tatar is not expected to command much on the market. With the Wild still dealing with the giant Zach Parise and Ryan Suter buyout penalties, they are in a prime position to take a shot on a low-risk, high-reward kind of play like Tatar.
