NHL Rumors: Canadiens & Wild Could Strike Deal

The Montreal Canadiens are expected to make some moves this summer. While they are rebuilding, it has been established that they want to improve their roster this offseason. One specific area that they will look to address is their center depth.

The Minnesota Wild, on the other hand, are expected to make some changes to their roster this offseason. Marco Rossi is one player who has come up in the rumor mill, and the Canadiens are expected to take a look at him this offseason

Rossi, 22, is exactly the kind of forward that the Canadiens should look to add. At 22 years old, he is still young enough to fit into their rebuild and improve his game. However, he also took a big step forward this season, so he would make an immediate impact for the Canadiens if acquired.

Rossi appeared in 82 games this season with the Wild, where he set new career highs with 21 goals, 19 assists, and 40 points. It was a big step in the right direction for the 2020 ninth-overall pick, and he will look to build off of it in 2024-25 from here.

We will need to wait and see if the Canadiens end up making a big push for Rossi this offseason from here. On paper, the fit between the team and the player looks excellent.
