Red Wings Rumors: 3 Free-Agent Destinations for Daniel Sprong

Daniel Sprong had a solid season with the Detroit Red Wings and should generate a lot of interest this offseason if he hits the free-agent market because of it. Because of this, let's go over a few teams who could look to sign the skilled winger now.

Detroit Red Wings: The Red Wings could consider re-signing Sprong. He fit in well on their roster and gave them some solid secondary production. As a result, if the Red Wings lose some of their other UFAs, it would not be surprising if they tried to keep Sprong around.

San Jose Sharks: The San Jose Sharks won the draft lottery, meaning that they will select top prospect Macklin Celebrini. Celebrini is expected to make the jump to the NHL immediately, so the Sharks need to add talent around him. Bringing in a young, skilled scorer like Sprong would make sense for them because of it.

Colorado Avalanche: The Colorado Avalanche may be in the market for some wingers this offseason. Sprong would be a good player for them to bring into their bottom six, as he would give them more secondary scoring. With that, he would fit in beautifully on their power play.
