Sharks Rumors: Alexander Barabanov Finished in San Jose
The San Jose Sharks will continue their rebuild this summer which includes drafting Macklin Celebrini with the #1 overall pick. There's going to be a ton of changes to their roster heading into next season and it appears you can scratch off any potential of Alexander Barabanov returning to the club.
According to David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, Barabanov is expected to hit free agency July 1 and will be moving on:

Almost dealt ahead of the trade deadline, Barabanov is moving on from the #SJSharks and will hit the UFA market this July.
Barabanov appeared in 46 games throughout an injury-riddled season and managed to chip in with 13 points. His agent will surely be pointing out the fact the previous two seasons he recorded 47 and 39 points respectfully.
The 29-year-old was surprising not moved ahead of the March 9 trade deadline when many expected Sharks GM Mike Grier to do more selling than he was able to pull off. Barabanov was earning $2.5 million against the cap this past season.
Considering the injury history, Barabanov is going to have to settle for much less on his next deal and is likely to sign a one-year prove-yourself contract this summer. It just won't be with the Sharks.
A number of KHL clubs are interested in signing #SJSharks Alexander Barabanov 👀
