3 Potential Free-Agent Destinations for Joel Edmundson

Joel Edmundson is an under-the-radar defenseman who can hit the free-agent market this offseason. While he is not a star, he should generate plenty of interest, as he is a veteran who comes with size and plays a very heavy game. Thus, let's go over three teams who could sign him if the Toronto Maple Leafs let him walk.

New Jersey Devils: The New Jersey Devils’ blueline could use more bite, so it would not be surprising if they made a push for Edmundson. He would be a clear fit on their bottom pairing and would also give them another option for their penalty kill.

Florida Panthers: The Florida Panthers have multiple free agent defensemen heading into the offseason. Because of this, they could take a look at Edmundson this summer. He can play both sides with ease, and he also would fit well into the club’s physical style of play.

Los Angeles Kings: The Los Angeles Kings would benefit by adding another left-shot defender this summer. Edmundson would be a very nice addition to their bottom pairing if signed. He would also be a good mentor for their younger players to have around because of his plethora of NHL experience and leadership skills.
