3 Potential Free-Agent Destinations for David Perron

David Perron is one of the veteran forwards among the 2024 free-agent class and is going to have receive significant amount of interest this summer.

Perron is coming off another strong season, posting 47 points in 76 games. His work ethic, tenacity on the forecheck and offensive instincts make him a strong candidate to provide secondary scoring on a number of contending teams. At 36 years old, look for Perron to sign with a win-now hockey club this summer.

Here's three potential free-agent destinations:

Nashville Predators

The Preds are looking for top-six forwards who can help them steer away from being a one-line hockey team. The have over $26 million in cap space and could easily fit in Perron to their plans. Nashville knows Perron very well from his days with their rival St. Louis Blues so there won't be much to uncover on and off the ice.

Los Angeles Kings

The Kings created themselves some more cap flexibility by moving on from Pierre-Luc Dubois and with Viktor Arvidsson set to hit free agency are going to need some scoring from the wing. There's been reports the Kings are looking at the likes of Patrick Kane and Tyler Toffoli and if they want a cheaper option, could settle on Perron. The Kings are a defensive juggernaut but need to find ways to create more offense next season, Perron can provide it in spades.

Boston Bruins

The Bruins need to be financially savvy this summer as they don't have a ton of cap space and are looking to add up front. They will be in the centre market with Elias Lindholm a possibility but also need to find some more depth behind David Pastrnak, who carried the Bruins' offense last season. Perron is a proven winner and someone who could slide in nicely on the second line behind Pastrnak.
