3 Potential Trade Destinations for Predators' Yaroslav Askarov

With Juuse Saros expected to sign an eight-year contract extension with the Nashville Predators, top goalie prospect Yaroslav Askarov is available. When noting that he has all the tools to become an impactful starter, there will be plenty of interest in him. Let's go over three potential landing spots for him now because of it.

Detroit Red Wings: The Detroit Red Wings could take a swing for Askarov. It is not a secret that they want to improve between the pipes, and Askarov could provide them with a long-term option if acquired. When looking at their current roster, he would have a real shot of receiving plenty of starts in Detroit next season.

Colorado Avalanche: The Colorado Avalanche stand out as a prime potential landing spot for Askarov. Alexandar Georgiev struggled with consistency this past season, and the Avalanche's goalie depth is not particularly strong after him. Thus, they could look to adding Askarov as an answer to their problem.

Carolina Hurricanes: The Carolina Hurricanes could also consider making a push for Askarov. It is no secret that they have been in the goalie market, and it is also key to note that Frederik Andersen is entering the final season of his deal. Thus, Askarov could be an intriguing option for the Canes.
