Blues Rumors: 3 Teams Pursuing Colton Parayko

St. Louis Blues defenseman Colton Parayko is a player to pay attention to in the rumor mill this offseason. The right-shot defender has generated trade interest for quite some time, and he is once again as we enter the 2024 NHL Offseason.

According to the Fourth Period, the Toronto Maple Leafs, Calgary Flames, and Ottawa Senators are three clubs in the mix for Parayko.

The Maple Leafs have been looking for both size and help on the right of their blueline, so it is not surprising that Parayko is a player they are intrigued by. He would be a big addition to their top four and would become one of their key penalty killers.

The Flames were connected to Parayko during the regular season, and it is understandable that it is now carrying over to the summer. The Flames notably traded Chris Tanev, a fellow right-shot defenseman, to the Dallas Stars at the deadline. Thus, they could use a shutdown defender like Parayko.

As for the Senators, the right side of their defense has needed a boost for quite some time. A player like Parayko would give them that, as he would be a huge pickup for their top pairing.

Parayko will have a final say over if and where he gets moved however, as he has a full no-trade clause.
