Canucks Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2024 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest edition of the series, let's take a look at the Vancouver Canucks.

Jake Guentzel: The Vancouver Canucks have a known interest in Jake Guentzel, and there is an expectation that they will target him again this summer. It is not a secret that they could use a star sniper in their top six, and Guentzel would surely give them that.

Brenden Dillon: If the Canucks lose Nikita Zadorov, they will need to add another bruising left-shot defenseman to replace him. Brenden Dillon stands out as a prime target, as he plays a similar game to Zadorov and can play top-four minutes. In addition, he has plenty of experience, which adds to his value.

Alex Wennberg: The Canucks' bottom six could lose some its depth this offseason, so a player like Alex Wennberg could make sense for them to add. He can provide decent offense in a bottom-six role and works on the penalty kill because of his solid defensive play. In addition, he can play both down the middle and on the wing, which adds to his appeal.
