Flames Rumors: 5 Teams Linked to Andrew Mangiapane

Calgary Flames forward Andrew Mangiapane is entering the summer as a prime trade candidate. The skilled winger is now in the final year of his deal, and the Flames are expected to listen to offers for him because of it.

According to The Fourth Period, the New Jersey Devils, Washington Capitals, Nashville Predators, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Carolina Hurricanes are all interested in acquiring Mangiapane.

The Devils have been connected to Mangiapane as of late, and it is not surprising that there is still interest there. They could use a player like him in their middle six.

The Capitals need more scoring help if they hope to be a bigger threat in the Eastern Conference next season. Mangiapane, a former 35-goal scorer, has the potential to give them that if he can bounce back.

The Predators have made it clear that they want to add at least one impactful forward to their roster this offseason, so Mangiapane being a target for them makes sense. He would give them a nice winger to play with Ryan O'Reilly.

The Penguins have been browsing the market for wingers, especially with Jake Guentzel being dealt at the deadline. Mangiapane may not be a star like Guentzel, but he would help make up for the some of the scoring lost there.

The Hurricanes have plenty of free agent forwards entering the summer, so it is understandable that they are looking at a player like Mangiapane. He would fit nicely into their forward group and would be a clear option for their power play.
