Flames Rumors: Nazem Kadri Being Shopped
The Calgary Flames traded away several notable names during the 2023-24 campaign, and it has carried over to the summer. Early on this offseason, both Jacob Markstrom and Andrew
Mangiapane have been dealt as well. Yet, the Flames may not be done making changes to their group just yet.
According to NHL insider David Pagnotta, the Flames are exploring Nazem Kadri's trade market.
Nothing is imminent, and he has a full NMC, but word out there suggests the #Flames are exploring trade market on Nazem Kadri.

Kadri, 33, has a complete no-movement clause, so he has full control over whether or not he will be traded. However, even with this being the case, the Flames are still listening to offers for the veteran center.
Any potential suitors for Kadri would need to be okay with the fact that he would be far more than just a rental. This is because he is under contract until the completion of the 2028-29 season and carries a rather hefty $7 million cap hit.
After an impressive 2023-24 season, it is likely that Kadri's trade value has increased. In 82 games with the Flames, he posted 29 goals and 75 points. It was a notable increase in production from his first year with the Flames, as he had 24 goals and 56 points in 82 games during the 2022-23 season.
We will now need to wait and see what happens with Kadri from here. The veteran center could certainly be a big addition to clubs looking for a top-six center.
