Jets Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2024 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this first edition of the series, we will be focusing on the Winnipeg Jets.

Viktor Arvidsson: The Winnipeg Jets will certainly look to add a right winger to their top six this offseason. Tyler Toffoli is not expected to be back, so a player who grab their attention is Viktor Arvidsson. While he dealt with injury trouble this year, he was still quite impactful when healthy. In addition, he is unlikely to command too much money, which adds to his appeal.

Joel Edmundson: The Jets are not expected to bring back Brenden Dillon this offseason. Because of this, they could use a left-shot defenseman with size who plays a physical game. Joel Edmundson could make sense for them because of this.

Kaapo Kahkonen: After a strong season, Laurent Brossoit is likely to test the market this summer. Thus, the Jets should target backup goalies this offseason, and Kaapo Kahkonen is one who stands out. He has a decent amount of experience and has had past success. Perhaps joining a strong team like the Jets could help him bounce back.
