Kings Rumors: Tyler Toffoli on Los Angeles' offseason radar

According to Elliotte Friedman via 32 Thoughts, the Los Angeles Kings are expected to have interest in signing free-agent forward Tyler Toffoli.

Toffoli, who finished the season with the Winnipeg Jets, hits the open market at 32 years old. He recorded 11 points in 18 games down the stretch with the Jets and another two goals in five Stanley Cup Playoff games.

Toffoli is coming off a four-year $17 million contract and is likely going to see a bit of a pay raise annually on his next deal. Along with the Kings, the Vancouver Canucks, Buffalo Sabres and potentially the New Jersey Devils.

The Canucks are going to be heavy on Toffoli, which could raise his price for the Kings. As Rick Dhaliwal reports "The Canucks do have interest in Tyler Toffoli if he hits the free agent market on July 1st. A little bit surprised at this bit of news. He’s a smart player, [he’s got] 67 goals in the last two years, but he’s 32 years old, and he’s looking for term. The Canucks are out there looking for a top six winger. Is this plan B if they don’t get [Jake] Guentzel?"

Keep an eye on Jake Guentzel's future, it's going to be linked to what Toffoli ends up doing. Toffoli won a Cup in LA and spent parts of eight seasons as a King.
