NHL Rumors: 3 Goalies Who Could Be Traded Next

On Wednesday (June 19), the NHL trade market saw two big trades involving goalies. Jacob Markstrom was dealt to the New Jersey Devils, while Darcy Kuemper was moved to the Los Angeles Kings. As a result, the goalie trade market is heating up, and we are likely to see more moves involving netminders because of it.

Here are three goalies who could find new homes next.

Linus Ullmark: Linus Ullmark is a big goalie to pay attention right now. With the Devils and Kings finding their goalies, other clubs in the goalie market will surely target him. Teams know that the Bruins view Jeremy Swayman as their long-term answer between the pipes, so a Ullmark trade should be coming shortly.

Juuse Saros: Juuse Saros has been the subject of trade chatter for quite some time. Things are only going to escalate during the summer, as he is entering the final season of his deal. In addition, the Predators have a big-time prospect in Yaroslav Askarov, who is expected to become a high-impact goalie in the NHL.

Filip Gustavsson: Filip Gustavsson has been generating plenty of chatter in the rumor mill. With Jesper Wallstedt looking ready to jump to the NHL and Marc-Andre Fleury being re-signed, Gustavsson could be moved for the right price. While he had a down year, he is a bounce-back candidate, and some clubs should be willing to take a shot on him.
