NHL Rumors: 5 Teams "Expected To Pursue" Sean Walker This Offseason
According to NHL insider David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, defenseman Sean Walker is expected to draw significant interest from multiple teams as he approaches free agency.
The Toronto Maple Leafs, Dallas Stars, Nashville Predators, Carolina Hurricanes, and San Jose Sharks are all reportedly eager to secure his services.
Having completed a successful season split between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Colorado Avalanche, Walker is not anticipated to re-sign with Colorado, making him one of the hottest commodities on the market.
I’m personally over pairing Rielly with one dimensional defensive Dmen. One player I’d like to see (cost dependent) would be Sean Walker.

Walker's robust performance last season, recording 10 goals, 29 total points, a +11 plus/minus rating, 127 blocked shots, and 118 hits, underscores his appeal as a solid defenseman capable of enhancing any team's blue line.
The Maple Leafs, facing potential losses in their defensive ranks, view Walker as a prime candidate to bolster their right side. Similarly, the Stars, with expiring contracts for key defensemen, see him as a perfect fit for their top-four.
The Hurricanes, amidst potential departures of several right-shot defensemen, and the Predators, undergoing a roster retool, also view Walker as a crucial addition.

The Sharks, possessing significant cap space exceeding $37 million, are in a strong position to outbid competitors and anchor their rebuilding efforts around seasoned players like Walker. This financial leverage, combined with their need to strengthen a porous defense, makes them a formidable contender in the race for his signature.
