NHL Trade Rumors: Bruins & Jets Talking Offseason Trade
Winnipeg Jets prospect Rutger McGroarty wants out. The former first-round pick hasn't been able to see eye-to-eye with the organization on his development and now would prefer to be traded this offseason.
The Jets have been getting a number of trade offers and have been in contract from the Boston Bruins, according to Mike McIntyre of Winnipeg Free Press. The Bruins have some competition as the Buffalo Sabres, Columbus Blue Jackets and New York Islanders have also made inquiries.
Another team to keep an eye on when it comes to Rutger McGroarty: The Boston Bruins.

Hearing tonight they’ve had ongoing talks with the #NHLJets. We’ll see if this goes anywhere.
Was told earlier today from a source Buffalo, Columbus, NY Islanders have also checked in.
McGroarty recorded 16 goals and 36 assists in 36 games last season in Michigan and also led the United States to the gold medal as captain at the World Junior Championships, collecting five goals and four assists in seven games.
McGroarty was originally selected 14th overall in 2022, and is one of the likely trade candidates to be moved throughout some point of draft weekend.
