Rangers Rumors: 3 Trade Destinations for Kaapo Kakko

The New York Rangers' season is over, and now they are set for what should be a busy offseason. One of their biggest decisions will be whether or not to trade Kaapo Kakko. The former top prospect has created plenty of buzz in the rumor mill after a tough season. As a result, let's go over three teams who could target him this offseason now.

Montreal Canadiens: The Montreal Canadiens are expected to be aggressive this summer. They want to be more competitive in 2023-24, and they must improve their forward group because of it. With Kakko being 23 years old and having good upside, they are a clear team to watch when it comes to him.

San Jose Sharks: The San Jose Sharks won the draft lottery, meaning they will soon have Macklin Celebrini. He is expected to make the jump to the NHL immediately. The Sharks must add impactful forwards to their roster to help his development, and a young forward like Kakko could be a great fit because of it.

Anaheim Ducks: Sticking in the Pacific Division, the Anaheim Ducks also should be watched. They have been connected to Kakko in the past, and he could be a good young forward for them to add to their core. Perhaps playing in a less stressful market could help him that next step.
