Sharks Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Summer

W
elcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2024 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest edition of the series, we will look at the San Jose Sharks.

Jake DeBrusk: With the Sharks winning the draft lottery, they are going to need to add some talent around Macklin Celebrini. As a result, a top-six winger like Jake DeBrusk could grab their attention on July 1. At 27 years old, he has multiple seasons left in his prime, so he would have the potential to be a long-term part of their core.

Matt Dumba: The Sharks made a push to sign Matt Dumba last offseason, and they could again this summer. It is not a secret that they could use a veteran like him to mentor their younger players. In addition, he would have the chance to play bigger minutes in San Jose, as their right side is not strong.

Dylan DeMelo: Could a reunion with Dylan DeMelo be in the cards for San Jose? There is no question that they could use a steady shutdown defenseman who can play big minutes on their roster. DeMelo would give them that and could easily slot on their top pairing and penalty kill.
