Now, they have some decisions to make, and one of them is with Matt Duchene. After a great season, the veteran forward can hit free agency on July 1. If he does reach free agency, these clubs should be watched.

Boston Bruins: The Boston Bruins could certainly be in the mix for Duchene this offseason. They need help down the middle, and Duchene is still an impactful top-six forward at this juncture of his career. As a result, they are a team to pay close attention when it comes to the veteran forward.

Washington Capitals: The Washington Capitals could make a push for Duchene this summer. Their top six needs a big-time boost, as their scoring this campaign was quite underwhelming. Adding a player who just had a 65-point season would be a good way to help fix that.

Winnipeg Jets: The Winnipeg Jets have several free agent forwards this offseason, including Tyler Toffoli and Sean Monahan. Due to this, they will have no choice but to look for top-six talent if they lose at least one of them. Duchene would be a strong addition to their group, as he would fit in their top six either as a center or as a winger.
