Utah Rumors: 3 Free Agents to Target This Offseason

Welcome to NHL Trade Rumors' 2024 Free-Agent Targets series. During it, we will be discussing three pending unrestricted free agents that each team should aim to sign.

In this latest edition of the series, we will be focusing on Utah's brand new hockey club.

Jonathan Marchessault: Utah should look to improve their forward group this offseason. They have the cap space to make a big splash, and one player who they should make a big push for is Jonathan Marchessault. He would be a big-time addition to their top six and become one of their top power play threats.

Brady Skjei: Utah would be wise to make an addition to the left side of their defense this offseason. It is an area on their roster that could use a boost, so a player like Brady Skjei could grab their attention. He would fit on their top pairing and be a clear choice for both of their special team units if signed.

Matt Roy: Utah could also go after a player like Matt Roy this offseason. They could use a dependable top-four right-shot defenseman on their roster, especially when noting that they want to take that next step in 2024-25.
