3 Potential Trade Destinations for Sharks' Mario Ferraro

San Jose Sharks top defenseman Mario Ferraro has been creating plenty of buzz around the NHL as a trade candidate. Teams looking for help on their left side could certainly look to add Ferraro, as he is a steady defenseman who offers some bite on the blueline. Because of this, let's go over three potential landing spots for him.

Winnipeg Jets: The Winnipeg Jets have been looking to improve their blueline, so a player like Ferraro could grab their attention. He would be a clear fit in their top four if acquired and would also be one of their most important penalty-killing defenders as well.

St. Louis Blues: The St. Louis Blues announced earlier this week that Torey Krug could miss the 2024-25 season if he needs to get surgery on his ankle. Thus, they could be in the market for a left-shot defenseman, and Ferraro would be a notable addition for them. While he does offer the same offense as Krug, he would give them a defensive defenseman for their top four.

Columbus Blue Jackets: The Columbus Blue Jackets have lost some defensive depth this offseason and could look at a player like Ferraro because of it. While the Blue Jackets were near the bottom of the standings this past season, they are looking to be more competitive. Bringing in a player like Ferraro for their defense could intrigue them because of this.
