Blues' Torey Krug Could Miss Entire 2024-25 Season
In a stunning announcement, the St. Louis Blues have revealed that defenceman Torey Krug could miss the entire 2024–25 season due to a "pre-arthritic condition" in his ankle.

The Blues and Krug are currently trying non-surgical rehabilitation for the next 6 to 8 weeks after which time he will be reassessed. At that point, if surgery is needed, the star blueliner will ultimately miss the entire coming season.
The condition apparently stems from "cumulative changes" from a fractured bone in his ankle that Krug suffered earlier in his career.
Krug, in fact, has suffered multiple injuries to his left ankle throughout his hockey career.
The 33-year-old, in 77 games this past season, posted 39 points on four goals and 35 assists in 22 minutes of ice time per game, while also recording a career-high 111 blocked shots.
He just completed his fourth season with the Blues, and still has three years left on a $6.5 million cap hit. If he does have to miss the entire season, the Blues would place him on LTIR and at least get some cap relief.
