Flyers Rumors: Morgan Frost Becoming Trade Candidate Again

Morgan Frost is once again emerging as a trade candidate for the Philadelphia Flyers.

Despite finishing the season strong with 30 points in 44 games and solidifying his role as one of the team's top centers, his name continues to surface in trade rumors.

Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff recently included Frost in his list of 25 players who could be moved this summer. Sportsnet's Ryan Dixon also noted the persistent speculation around his future.

The 25-year-old center has demonstrated his potential with back-to-back 40-plus point campaigns. However, his relationship with head coach John Tortorella and the Flyers' need for a different team dynamic contribute to the uncertainty of his fit with the club.

With one year remaining on his $2.1 million AAV bridge deal and restricted free agency with arbitration rights looming in 2025, the Flyers are open to creative offers that could involve moving Frost for a more physical forward or a needed defenseman.

The team's decision on Frost will likely hinge on whether they see him as a long-term asset or a valuable trade piece to address other needs.

Over his five-year career, the 25-year-old has recorded 39 goals and 71 assists for 110 total points across 229 games played.

Frost was the Flyers' first-round pick (27th overall) in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.
