NHL Rumors: Daniel Sprong Linked To Atlantic Division Team

Forward Daniel Sprong has been linked to the Buffalo Sabres in recent free agency rumors.

Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report predicts that the Sabres will sign Sprong, highlighting his potential to bolster their offensive lineup.

At 27, Sprong has showcased his scoring ability with 39 goals and 89 points over the past two seasons with the Detroit Red Wings and Seattle Kraken, making him an attractive target for a team in need of offensive reinforcement.

The Sabres, who recently bought out Jeff Skinner's contract, have a notable gap to fill in their scoring lineup after finishing in the bottom 10 in scoring last season, as noted by Knox.

With the fifth-most cap space in the league, Buffalo is well-positioned to add a player of Sprong's caliber. Knox believes that Sprong's offensive prowess would be a valuable addition to the Sabres, providing the necessary firepower to boost their rankings.

Over his eight-year career, the 27-year-old has amassed 85 goals and 74 assists for 159 total points across 344 games played.

Sprong was a second-round pick (46th overall) by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
